The WORST!. One of the most terrible experiences I ever had at a restaurant. The two of us walk and notice the heating was off making the restaurant ice cold. We sat down and after 10mins I waved to the woman in the kitchen who then brought us menus. I realized she was playing both the cook and waitress. There was a older woman in the back with her talking and taking pictures who was not an employee. Obvious red flag. We were finally able to order our food after about 20mins. We heard the food is good so we decided to wait it out. BIG MISTAKE! 40 minutes go by…. and nothing. Enough was enough so we decided to walk out with a couple next to us who was fed up with the service too.Fortunately, we found another restaurant which turned out to be fantastic so the night wasn’t a complete disaster. NEVER AGAIN!
Good food, terrible service. Maybe it is a difference in cultures, but the staff at Gatur’s is unfriendly and cold. They do not come back to check on you unless you go into the kitchen to get them yourself. The food takes forever, and is overpriced for the ambiance (not much) and quality of service. We have been here several times, with the same result. We do enjoy the food, however, and the location is easier for us than Lucy’s or the one in East Aurora. Unfortunately, I don’t think that they’ll be there for long, though, unless they build their ambiance and train their wait staff to be more cordial and attentive.

Excellent Food! I had the beef tibs and collard greens. Food was all prepared from scratch to order and so worth the wait! Great family owned restaurant. Will definitely dine here again.
Awesome food !
I’ve had Ethiopian food in Washington DC, Toronto, and Rochester. It was a pleasure to have such great meal right here in Buffalo. It may have been some of the best I’ve ever had! Clean decor, friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. I’ll be back.
