We made reservations, waited 50 minutes for our food. Thought we would be late for our show at the Niagara Center. When our food got there it was cold. Short on kitchen help (obviously) and wait staff also. Ordered the same beer as the first and was given the wrong beer, at least that was as good as the first. Being referred to Pan American Grill from Pearl Street Grill, we were hoping we would have the same quality service. Beautiful building though. Sadly Disappointed.
Disappointing. The carved ceilings and the interior of this old revitalized building are gorgeous. Unfortunately the food is average at best. I might be willing to try it one more time to see if it was just a bad night, but for this time at least, I was sadly disappointed.
XMAS gift card. Got gift card as present from dillusional relative. Service was a nightmare. Argued with waitress about tonic water for beverage, had to physically point to it on menu to prove to her that it was available. When drinks arrived she gave my tonic to someone else. Chicken was dry, jambalaya had broken pieces of clam shell mixed in, and portions were tiny for price being charged. Ordered dessert to use full amount of gift card. Took 15 minutes for slice of cheesecake and peanut butter pie. REALLY? i’m sure the slices are in cooler ready to go. Perfect ending was getting WRONG BILL that was $50 more than correct bill. Chipped dinner plates, clumsy thrown together decor etc. etc. Would never spend actual money I worked for in this place.
Happy I ignored the negative reviews a d tried this place. Good beer selection and prompt service.
Disappointing. Should have known from the negative reviews but figured it was still the learning phases of a new restaurant. You think being affiliated with Pearl Street the place would have it together. The decor and plates really reflected Buffalo during the turn of the century. Still notice a lot of the fixtures and same bar from old Lafayette Tap room on the one side. Service was not only slow but forgot drinks, refills and salad dressings. Noticed every time she went by the table something was missing but always came back empty handed. The soup was too salty and the meat on the salads were dry and the dressing barely covered the mountain of lettuce that they served. Sandwiches looked good from observing around the restaurant. Noticed the flatbreads when the waitresses walked by and they also looked dried out and burnt. The place was very busy hopefully they had better meals then us. Will come back to try their homemade brewed beers but probably not for a meal. On the positive the hotel is beautiful and look forward to going to upcoming weddings and banquets there
Very loud in here but the food was great and the prices very reasonable. Service was so – so. The waitress let us ask for three different beers off the menu that were no longer available then finally decided to hand us an updated beer menu. The pros here surely outweigh the cons and we will be back
Liked it, but…. I enjoyed the food, but the prices are a bit high for the amount of food. I went for lunch twice now and both times the service was good and I was on my way back to the office within an hour, but I felt a little light on the stomach and wallet. I spent $15 on a soda and flat bread pizza. Kinda steep for lunch when I could have gone to Fables for more food for less, but Pan American is a better view! I tried one of their sandwiches the next time and spent $20 for a rather tasty delight that was more filling, but left my hands a mess! Not a good meal to eat when you are going back to work. Hopefully a few, easy to eat lunches that include a side dish will find their way to the menu. I’m fine with the price if there is more to the dish.
