Authentic Italian. Absolutely loved the food here. Pasta was excellent, marinara tasted authentic and homemade. We shared a margheritta pizza as well, which was stellar. Quality, homemade, authentic food is the best description I had for our meal. We ordered some dessert to go and it was absolutely fantastic, I had some peanut butter chocolate souffle I think.Drinks were okay, your typical wine/beer list. Nothing out of the ordinary here but nothing really lacking either.Service was very good. Our server was very attentive and polite, also kept things moving at a good pace. Atmosphere was welcoming and homey. I’ll definitely go back.Food: 8Drinks: 6Service: 8Atmosphere: 7

Nice Salads. Not sure about the atmosphere. Confused as to what they are trying to pull off. Salads are large and good. Pizza is decent, but nothing to write home about. Over all, this place is middle of the road but good. Service has been iffy at both this location and the Sheridan Drive one. This place is good for lunch, but definitely wouldn’t bother for dinner.

Pastries with old/stale taste–YUCK!. I have never had a bad Italian pastry until today at Romeo and Juliet’s Bakery! Imagine my horror to find COOL WHIP instead of REAL whipped cream in their Neopolitain and also an clair. OMG they were awful. PLUS the cool whip tasted old, like it had been in the refrigerator for a long time and absorbed the odors in the fridge. I have had casatta cake there before and the same thing with the OLD/STALE TASTE. I will say that the canoli was good though.

Very fresh food!. Everything we ordered was extremely fresh. The menu is fantastic, and I was very impressed with Romeo & Juliet’s! Note: The salads are huge, and are available in a half size. The desserts were great, as was the friendly staff. I can’t wait to come back!

OLD TASTING FROSTING ON CAKES. I have been here three different times to pick up individual slices of cake. Each and every time I did, the frosting on the cake tasted really old — like it had absorbed all the odors in the air because it was uncovered. They just tasted old, period. Sorry, but with me, three strikes and you are out!

Romeo and Juliet have the best pizza in Buffalo. They are tasty, with few ingredients, the dough isn’t chewy and the flavors are close to what you can found in Italy……………
