Pretty much the worst service I’ve ever seen. Customer agitation was palpable. We stopped by actually for the band tonight, PFC. Never frequented the place before but it’s off the water it’s a nice day and a good band on the patio with a couple of beers and wings sounded like a great idea. Well we walk in, place is occupied but not crazy there were more than a couple empty seats… There was no hostess so after walking about we asked a waitress about the seating arrangement and was told to sit were we liked and a server would be right with us. We sat down for like 15 min while servers and what appeared to be managers of some sort walked back an forth looking busy but mostly speaking to themselves and staff. So I got up and approached another server about the seating accommodations and how to place and order …. She was polite and said our server would be with us shortly …. Another five min maybe ten go by we going crazy the view is great as was the music. Ok now another ten minutes mangers servers still seeing us but not helpful walking by…. I begin to notice a trend and I mention to my girlfriend that idonno there seems to be an awful many unhappy faces at the tables around us maybe we made a bad choice ….. Just then our server or at least an employee dressed as a server approaches our table and ask oh has nobody helped you yet ??? Oh I’ll be right back …. ( I’m thinking yea nobody has helped us, this is your section and yea you passed us like a dozen times , not in a busy way either) she never came back ….. Now I like the band and I realllllly wanted a drink so I approached the bartender and asked what the process was for ordering food and beverage …. He explains that they just opened the patio and they don’t really have a menus but what they do have is on the chalk board behind us and he would be happy to take our order. Great, now we were getting some where ..ah like five items burgers clams wings fried vegies I think that was it ..ok I’m not picky but no prices whatever I’m hungry and want to move this thing along … We order and the food came drinks were served … Double order wing 20 bucks half dozen clams 12 bucks ..the order was wrong …. No condiments for the clams, less than minimal for the wings and no follow up on how our food was or a refill on our drinks …That’s ok because my GF said the wine taste like Maddog anyway … So to sum it up the place is actually very nice with a terrific view and would be an excellent venue to meet friends and have a few drinks after work or on holiday. The food is forth rate at first trate prices, the service from supervisor to server …… Flipping sucks. Could be talked into going back for a couple drinks ((beer) don’t trust the mixers)some night when we’re around canal side which is often but it will not be a destination and I wouldn’t suggest it to anybody, Ever…….. Catch the band somewhere else they were great !

Very disappointing. My husband and i went to templeton landing saturday night. We love to sit and eat with a great view of the water. The location was perfect. Parking incredibly easy. We are told it will be an hour or more wait so we leave our names and head to the bar area to have a cocktail. Dirty martinis were average and priced high. But we are still enjoying ourselves. My husband went to the bar not knowing if there was a server. While we are waiting kenny came over to apologize for having gone MIA. No problem. He tells us we can order dinner here i syead of waiting for the diningroom. Excellent!!!! We loved the idea and it was a perfect spot Finally we placed our order and continued to relax. Our dinners were served by another worker. Maybe the busser? No problem. I have to say my husband and i are never demanding or picky when we go to a restaurant. If we dont like it we dont return. The burger came out looking fantastic!!! Piled high with fried pickle. Onion ring and bacon. Meanwhile no kenney to be seen or heard from. Burger was awful. No problem. Maybe a little salt and pepper?? Fat chance. We look around to see if we can help ourselves. No luck. My husband loves burgers. Never met one he didnt like. Until now. Flavorless. Soggy. Soooooo disappointing. We left leaving a tip for our server that did nothing for our table. No water. No service. No appearance. Now i wish we had not left a tip at all. Or maybe went hunting for the young man who brought our plates. As we left we were stopped by overflowing water on the floor coming from the bathroom. And i dont mean a puddle. I mean toilet water gushing everywhere. Ugh. Cherry on the top of our cake. We will not be back. Nor will we suggest this place to our friends and family. I wish i had read the reviews before we went. Too many terrific restaurants in buffalo to waste our time and money on this place. Wish i could have left one positive comment.

Save your money. Went to see Mick Hayes play and ordered a draft beer, which cost $7.50 in a plastic cup.Beer in a plastic cup?How about a martini for $12.50,in a plastic cup but they have beer in a Bottle! The help is so novice,is the word,or unprofessional.Don’t waste your money or time.

I created an account just to post this review. I am not a picky person, but went to Templeton Landing tonight with my family and will never step foot in this restaurant again! From start to finish, the dinner experience was beyond terrible. Drinks were not made correctly and tasted off, the table bread was stale and hard, my daughters macaroni and cheese tasted awful (how do you screw up mac and cheese?), my other daughters chicken was over grilled and chewy, the mashed potatoes they gave her were Instant (instant mashed potatoes??? Are you serious?) my fish was soggy and lukewarm, another meal was prepared incorrectly and had to go back, the bread served with artichoke dip was completely stale, the rice served on my wife’s dinner was hard, chewy, and flavorless. It’s quite amazing and impressive, I guess, because there is a lot of planning and food purchasing that takes place behind-the-scenes to run a restaurant, so how can you be so consistently terrible on almost every accord? Out of five stars I would rate this place -5 stars. Run don’t walk.

Poor service, okay food, overpriced. I recently went to Templeton Landing with some friends and we had a very bad experience. We were a larger group, 10 people, so we called ahead and made a reservation, even though we were going on a Tuesday, which we expected to be slow. Despite having a reservation we waited for over 20 minutes are our table to be ready. When we ordered our food, it took over 40 minutes for our entree’s to come. In that 40 minute time frame, our waitress did not come to check on us once to see if we needed more drinks. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and not worth the price at all. I will most certainly not be returning here again

I advise anyone looking to have a banquet here not to do it. Literally sitting here at Templeton for a work dinner banquet, just finished eating what I would consider anything but a meal. I got a prime rib, fattiest piece of meat ive ever seen with no flavor. Potatoes were eh, beans were not to great. The person sitting next to me got chicken and it was over cooked and tough, she didnt eat any of it. The pasta looked eh but probably better than the chicken or prime rib. The person on the other side of me also got prime rib and was way to underdone. The dessert also also gross. For $25 a plate I didnt think I would be grabbing dinner on my way home. Waste of time and money.

Awesome Place!. We spent a wonderful late September Friday evening at Templeton’s Landing. Started out on the outside patio by the fire pits for drinks and appetizers. It began to get colder so we ordered dinner and moved inside. Our waitress was extremely attentive and checked back with us frequently. We all enjoyed our drinks-the lemon drop martini-delicious. Our appetizers of fried calamari and spinach/artichoke dip served with homemade flatbread chips-yummy. Three of us ordered the Friday Fish Fry-it was perfectly done with lots of great, seasoned fries. The coleslaw was delicious-just wish it wasn’t served in a thimble-size container used for butter/sauces-this could be served in a bigger dish. Don’t be so stingy with the coleslaw-it was too good. The bread, hummus and olive spread served with dinner was a very nice touch. The view of the water is awesome, the restaurant is quiet and relaxing and nicely decorated. We have been back three times and have never been disappointed. People-get out there and try it for yourself. We made reservations and were seated immediately.
