My husband and I had gone to Stephano’s together several times because the food kept us coming back. It is like little Italy in the Hudson Valley. If you want authentic Italian food it simply can’t be beat. We had been raving about it to friends and family, when my husband’s Aunt and Uncle decided to meet us for dinner. They live 50 minutes from Stephano’s but said they would meet us because we had been boasting about the excellent food. Well, when we got there they rushed us through our dinner. The waiter snatched away our plates before we were finished. They dropped the check before we asked for it and when we placed the check with a genourus 20% tip on the table the waiter swooped down on, us grabbed the checkbook and told us to get out because they were busy. It was so rude and nasty that all of our jaws dropped. Here we are repeat customers that love Stephano’s and appreciate that it is a busy, small restaurant and that you eat, pay your bill, and leave. We didn’t deserve to be rushed through an expensive meal before we were done or to be told to leave as we dropped the check. It was humiliating to have family come from so far to join us there. I’ve never been back since and I suggest you think twice before you choose to dine there as well.

Bad Seating, Great Food. We were sat right next to the women’s bathroom with people bumping into our table all night. In the middle of our meal somebody laid down something ferocious which made the meal miserable. Every time the bathroom door opened, a huge wave of stench would surround us. The food was great though, when I wasn’t throwing up in my mouth.
Incredible!!. I thought the food was awesome!! My hudsband and I were recomended to Stephanos and loved it!! We will go back! We come all the way from lower westchester so you know its good!!! As some miserable woman said, you get to take home tons of leftovers. Why she would complain on here about that is weird to me!! Next time were bringing more friends!!
Truly the Best. I have been eating at Stephano’s for years, the food is top notch, service fun and attentive. The new place is just what they needed. Wines by the glass are generous and good. (I feel like the unsatisfied customer before me was either thrown out of weightwatchers or is a miserable human who shouldnt leave the house.) Eat at Stephano’s once and you will be a customer for life, just like us! Awesome 5 stars*****
