Always excellent!. We keep going back to Kirari because the quality of the sushi is consistent, always excellent. The special rolls are fine too. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the staff very stable and they do remember you, even what you like. (They happen to be run by Indonesians, but our bagel store is run by Mexicans and in the city by a Thai family.)

Poor customer service.. This is a Chinese-run Japanese restaurant with Chinese style Japanese menu. The food is generally fresh, and service is ok. However, I voted against this restaurant because of the poor customer service. Let me explain. For years, my friend – a 90 year old clarinetist – and I have been coming to this restaurant religiously after our rehearsals. We’ve become familiar with the faces in Kirari Sushi, but the staff remains distant. Sometime they overcharged us for the same food we ordered, and one night they refuses to accommodate us for soup and salad, because the kitchen has closed at quarter till 10pm. Being one of the 2 sushi restaurant in a small town of Scarsdale, I find it hard to believe that their business survives with lack of customer service. As a loyal customer to my local business, I’d rather take my business to their competing neighbor, the Sakura Sushi restaurant where I feel welcome and appreciated as a customer.
