A friend of ours told us about Carver’s Applehouse Restaurant and Orchard before we headed out of town for our trip to the Smokies. We are staying near Cosby, so this was perfect for our free day to stay around the cabin. We waited an hour to be seated, but it was worth it. The Apple Cider and Apple Fritters were absolutely delicious, and we all enjoyed our meals. We definitely recommend the Chicken and Dumplings, and must say that everyone should give Carver’s Applehouse Restaurant a try!

It’s a very loud place and u get rushed to order but the food is great! I love chicken and Appel cider!!! U should give this place ago.even though it’s not my favorite place to eat it’s still good.
Good food, reasonable prices, so-so service. We went mid-afternoon and most of the lunch crowd was leaving. We were seated quickly and felt rushed when the server came to give our order. One of our party decided within a minute after the server left that she wanted to try something other than what she originally ordered, so we asked the server if she could change it. She said she could not since the order had already been turned in. I would have understood if this was 10 minutes later, but it was immediately after the server walked back from turning the order it. The food was good. Just make sure that you don’t let them rush you when ordering.
Delish. Good home cooked meals at good prices…with an orchard view.. Stumbled across this places years ago on our drive into Gatlinburg. It has become a family favorite for home style meals. We stop on our way in and out of town. We get dinner on our way in & breakfast on our way out. Food is good. Portion sizes are portion controlled….not HUGE like you get in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but we are OK with that. Our favorites are the grilled pork chops, chicken pot pie and the peach cobbler for dinner. We like the eggs and French toast for breakfast. Service is NOT fast, but food is quality & the chicken pot pie takes longer to prepare (warning on menu). Prices are OK. Staff has been friendly. You get fritters and cider complimentary just about everything! It is always fun to stop by the farm market next door before/after eating. There is a fried apple pie stand there too. On the same property is a candy shop. Overall, good eats in a clean, family friendly atmosphere. I would recommend and will be back.
First time there. Not impressed, my wife had the chicken-n-dumplings, and they were not good. Service was not very friendly. We enjoyed the candy shop and apple barn. I can not recommend the restaurant.
Great Place for a Family Meal. We ate here today with our 3 and 7 year olds. Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken n’ Dumplings were great! This place is about 30 minutes east of Gatlinburg and is on Highway 321 between I-40 and Gatlinburg. Stop in on your way in or out of Gatlinburg for a great meal, at a good price. They also have a huge produce market with lots of locally grown goodies. Highly recommend!!!
