Sorry to say, the place is inconsistent. Sometimes you get a great sandwich, other times you get a real stinker. Too bad, when they are on their game the food is amazing. The staff is great. Have always had good service. The owner however was very awkward to deal with when we gave her feedback on how the bread is not toasted like it used to be. She could have graciously accepted the feedback but instead wanted to refute what we had experienced. It was strange and not in line with the usual cool vibes from the staff.28 May, 2014They stopped toasting the bread as long as usual. The staff told me they did this based on complaints. I guess my opinion does not count. This will stop my patronage.21 Sep, 2013My new favorite sub shop! The Super Dave was indeed super. The staff was great. Will be back for sure.
Dave’s is a great sandwich shop. One of the best sandwiches is the San Fran. Be sure to ask for toasted bread! Dave’s has specialty sodas and many varieties of chips. While their tuna isn’t great, almost all of the other sandwiches are tasty. Be sure to check it out. By far the best sandwich shop in San Antonio. Also has very nice employees and a great vibe
