$150 for two people is not accurate. It is much more reasonable. Someone needs to update this. This place is the best restaurant in the county if not the entire hill country. Go and enjoy.

The place looks modern and hill country, but you feel a bit like you are sitting in a garage. The service did its best, but to me, it is shooting for foodie/ special status and it’s not even close. The braise beef was ok, but the fish special and the standard meatloaf were not so good. Nothing special in terms of wines. Just because you can put kale in something doesn’t mean you should.

Great Experience. Great food. Excellent service. Beautiful Texas Hill Country view.

What a fiasco!. Just got home after being at this restaurant for three and half hours. The service was slow throughout the meal but got worse at the end: one hour was spent waiting for the check and another 30 minutes trying to correct it. The manager was not very apologetic. The food was forgettable. Others sitting at the other end of the table complained that they could smell the odor of a dead animal coming from outside.

Striking setting. Delicious food with a great varied menu… in a beautifully striking setting in the trees. Gorgeous atmosphere both inside and out. We’ll look forward to returning someday.

Great Restaurant, Fresh Ingredients.. Nice restaurant in Wimberley. We were visiting from our of town. We learned that the restaurant just moved into a new building that week (fresh wood panels, corrugated metal, decorated with several pear knick knacks and mason jars with fresh flowers). The iced tea was great–some kind of floral/fruity infused tea, but not overpowering. I had chicken in green chile cheese grits. This came served in a small cast iron skillet. It was ok, chicken was moist, but unfortunately it was bland. I couldn’t taste the green chiles at all. and it seemed like there was no seasoning in any of it. However, my husband ordered a pizza with chorizo and okra, and it was fantastic! He picked a winner. I have no doubt the food is high quality and creative, I just think that my pick wasn’t the best. Get a pizza and you’re good to go!

A great dining experience!. We stopped at The Leaning Pear on the recommendation of friends and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere comfortable and the food healthy and delicious! I had the soup of the day, Plantain, Corn & Coconut and a small Leaning Pear salad. Both were fresh and it was a great combo. My husband had the Herbed Chicken Salad and was not disappointed. He’s pretty picky about chicken salad. For dessert I tried the sorbet of the day, Apricot Basil. Again, delicious and a great ending to the meal. We would recommend it highly and will definitely go again when we’re in Wimberly.
