**Rating is 3.5**Came for dinner during the week and the restaurant had a few tables dining otherwise was pretty quiet. The gentleman at the door seated us in a booth which was very comfortable. The menu is very much to share which I love – although a bit confusing upon first glance with the way its written/ laid out.Started with the guacamole – pretty ordinary. Corn & jalapeo croquettes were nice but lacking salt/flavour. Cauliflower & fish tacos were next – both were heavily battered and deep fried (was not expecting this of the cauliflower) and honestly devoid of any significant flavour. Awkward to eat as the large filling is set upon 2 very small soft tortillas that dont actually wrap around the filling which was odd. Street corn was nice but again lacking depth of flavour. We finished with the pan de elote dessert which was interesting (cornbread base, ice cream and chile popcorn) but not my cup of tea. Venue and vibe is great, staff were helpful and professional but the food for me just didnt quite get there – the flavour dial just needed to be turned up quite a few notches. A little pricey at $80 for 2 with no alcohol, but hey thats Perth I guess. Lots of potential here and hopefully they will continue to improve as its a nice addition to the Leederville dining scene.
Fish taco. That is all I have to say. No, not really Ill say more. While I wouldve loved a more sharp pickled element ( which wouldve made it perfect), what was there was pretty damn amazing. You guys are so close to the perfect fish taco!Oh, also, staff were friendly and attentive, drinks list was excellent!Good God! Good eats!
We decided to check this out after my colleague recommended it. It was very quiet when we arrived. With some help on the menu, we ordered the roast vegetables and four tacos to share. Overall we were happy with the food.
