My first experience… Maybe I’ll write another review after I go back again, but this is how my first BB experience went down. I walked in, no one greeted me, I was the only one there. Looked at the chalkboard and asked for a chicken quesadilla. The guy didn’t ask me what I wanted in it, which I assumed he would at some point.. so I ended up with a chicken and cheese. I asked for a side of guac, then he handed me my meal and I went on my way. I opened it up and I got unsalted chips, so I guess I should’ve known to ask for salsa? Or fillings inside? The taste was good. I’d like to go back, but maybe next time, I’ll get better service. I don’t like Chipotle anyways, so no comparision.

Meh. I hate to have to give a decent local establishment a negative review, but this place really didn’t do it for me. Let me get to the positives because there were many. Firstly, the owner was a friendly guy and pretty good at promoting his business. Second, there is a nice selection of available meats, at least in theory since not all seemed available at the time I was there…of course, I didn’t ask either so who knows. There were multiple sauces available to go on the burritos, and the owner was out front giving samples of each with chips (only for sampling, they aren’t dipping sauces). Each was good. The one with the fire roasted vegetables was probably the best. Now, basically, the burrito was ok. For some reason everything is very wet, including the tortillas. I assume they were kept in a steam table. This didn’t cause too much problem in the finished product; it just seemed strange. I found the meat (I had carnitas) to be somewhat bland. The black beans were ok. I just wasn’t impressed unfortunately. I have to say: I’d rather just go to Chipotle. Wow, there it is. My only reconciliation in this statement is that, as far as chains go, Chipotle is top notch in my experience. To Burrito Bros. – sorry.

Step Away Chipotle. When you currently think about a burrito stop you think Chipotle. After visiting Burrito Brothers, I no longer imagine Chipotle, I imagine the bigger wider variety menu along with the fresh tasting food and melted cheese burrios in this store. I also enjoy not having to pay for a side of chips, but automatically recieving them.

Wish Chiptole Was This Good. The Burrito Bros beat the big guys at their own burrito-game. They’re friendly, the atmosphere is charming and the food is delicious. They’re speed is improving and the price is right, too. Love this place and highly recommend it.

Burrito Brothers – my new favorite mexican. I LOVE this place. i shop at the river market weekly and this is always a stop on my list. They have great local food, buying much of their produce right there in river market…and with so much fresh veggies on your doorstep how can you go wrong? the salsa i will give a 4…i adore the robust and fresh flavors, the balance of the cool tomatoes and the spicy peppers.the chicken is WONDERFUL as are the beans, the rice and the peppers and onion mixture. I love their burriots with chicken rice and peppers onions with fresh pico and mild salsa YUM. Their prices are great too…fro what you would pay at chilpotles you get to eat better food, locally grown and locally owned…whats not to love.
