Not the Same. Went back after moving back and it is a bar atmosphere now, my favorite Italian sandwich is now a standard tube sausage. Disappointed, used to crave that place. .
Great Deli!. The food is fresh daily, service is quick, friendly, and professional, and the owner is all about customer service, hands-on, welcomes feedback! We have eaten here twice within the past month, and both times have been consistently top-notch! A lot of food for the money, and can’t think of any reason that someone would write a negative review about this place. Who says that something old can’t be made better? J&J
I would rather eat a stale prepackaged sandwich from a vey sketchy convenient store……sandwich tasted stale and I could not take more than 2 bites before spitting it out. Is there anyone else out there not afraid to tell the truth?
Changed… Not for the good. Went in today to get lunch and ordered the chicken parm. First thing they do not serve 1/2 orders any longer, next were the service used to be very quick it is no longer that way, took about 10 mins to get my food. I chose to get it to go and eat in my truck, upon pulling the container from the bag I noticed it was wrapped in cling wrap then seen red sauce was all over out side of the box but inside the cling wrap. When I opened the container it was about half the size that it used to be with less chicken also. Taste was ok but not as good as before in my opinion. With all of the factors adding up I have decided I will no longer be making this a dining out choice, sorry to say they lost a very faithful customer.
In response to the previous comment. I have no affiliation with Lasala’s Deli, but I do know the correct information. The food is actually the same if not improved and the poorboy is not served in a box, it’s still served the same. You might have received a box if they were out of bags during the transformation. When you left your comment the original owners were still working there cooking and preparing the food. Your information is incorrect. Nothing has changed other then a cleaner, nicer environment to enjoy the same awesome food. Go see for yourself!
It doesnt feel the same anymore when you walk in no pictures nothing since they sold the place they serve your half loaf (poorboy)in a box not cool it used tobe an original spot in kansas city so much history gone there never going to beable to be or top the original quality of food laSala’s
