It was really nice to escape the 95+ degree weather and eat a delicious meal at Thai Angel. The decor is really cute and incorporates a flower theme throughout. The best thing about this place is that the food is super cheap AND yummy. The server was very attentive and speedy as well. Overall I had a great experience.

Excellent Tom Ka Gai soup but the steamedDumplings and Royal Pad Thai were pretty flavorless. Very clean, quick, pleasant service. Maybe the chef was having a bad night, but it was entirely unremarkable.

Had the Moo Ping, Crispy Pork, and calamari. It was excellent and total bill under 25.00 w a beer! Enough for 2 people. Helpful staff.

Very good Thai and excellent value. Lunch menu…$7.95 Large portion sizes and delicious.

Pretty good. I got the basil rice. Not quite as spicy as I would have liked, but not bad at all.

Got the Pad Thai with Shrimp and again with beef. OMG Amazing. Mouth orgy. Can’t beat the price, this is comparable to some of the best that i have ever had (at steeper prices). Delivery took about 30 mins.

Shame it’s not in Montreal!!. We were visiting NYC in early April 2011 and staying at the Mondrian Soho around the corner from Thai Angel. We asked the concierge whether there were any good Thai places nearby that weren’t priced too over-the-top (considering the prices of dining out in Manhattan), and she recommended Thai Angel. She said the prices and meals were great – and she definitely was right! We ate there for lunch on the Saturday, and went back for dinner on the Sunday night because we had enjoyed it so much! In terms of meals – the beef satay is delicious (the chicken one is good too, but a bit dry), the wonton soup and the pad thai were the BEST we’ve ever tasted — the perfect amount of heat and flavour! The Tom Yum soup was good – but perhaps a tad too salty for my liking. The dumplings were excellent as well. I don’t recal what our other dishes were, but we were very satisfied with our meals! The only disappointment is that Thai Angel is not in Montreal!
