The house is small but the heart is big: the popular saying applies perfectly to Yauss, a little bar of San Telmo with arty imprint. From the stained-glass window, the small room with a few tables draws attention to its eclectic decoration, which mixes murals painted on the walls with Christmas lights, dolls and other details of a neatly uncluttered setting that arouses the curiosity of the most varied passers- Forcing them to appear shyly at the door. And as you watch, the hosts invite you to come in, offer a complimentary glass of wine, with an informal kindness that is hard to refuse. For midday, sweet and salty waffles (from $ 75) are highly recommended, which are cooked to taste from a varied list of ingredients. The pride of the house is the artisan cider, since they are partners of the Patagonian cooperative that produces it. They offer a dry variety (60% pear, 40% apple) shot and another sweet in the bottle. They also have a special promo: customers who carry a gift plant, receive a pint of free drink in return, and with these contributions they are putting together a nice green collection. The place was once WaflesSur, but its owner Javier decided to renew it to add their cultural concerns. Now the walls of Yauss become an impromptu art gallery that offers artists and photographers the possibility to display and market their work at no cost.
