Cafe #2 is a unique community place in the very center of Dilijan near the lake. The idea of the cafe was to develop a unique socialising platform in Dilijan for the local teens, students of the UWC Dilijan college and other educational institutions to communicate and develop social activism and grassroots initiatives. A few key things about Cafe #2 to know: We are not a restaurant - we are a nice cafe with European and Armenian dishes. We recruit and train local teens at the age of 14+ to work as waiters. Cafe #2 acts as the place for their first professional orientation where they can try themselves in the hospitality area. Here you can hang out nicely - the interior design is quite unusual for Dilijan. The building has its 2nd life and all the furniture was rewamped by the local teens. Except the white tables that were specially ordered from an Armenian carpenter. The income from the cafe operations supports other educational and social initiatives in the region.
