DAANA was born out of Sanjay and Sunita's passion for cooking and their joy of giving and sharing. From the humble origins at Canberra's shipping container village Westside at Acton Park in September 2015 to a full-fledged brick and mortar hearth at Curtin in September 2016 we have come a full circle. Daana is our honest (or souls) attempt to present a fulfilling experience of authentic Indian cuisine - primarily South Indian also including other regional cuisines and popular street food. All offered to YOU - our guests with generosity and love. We have expanded our menu to include some more truly authentic flavours, as we believe simple unpretentious food nourishes not just the belly but also the soul! YOU have been our biggest ambassadors and incredible pillars of strength that gave us at Daana the gumption to take the leap of faith to move to what we believe is its home in Curtin today. Daana at Curtin promises to be a cauldron of creativity, in food, ambience and people.
