Chasing Mr Morris, located in the Hamlet, do great doughnuts. We tried and golden gaytime and hot chocolate inspired flavours and would recommend both. Their coffee isn’t bad either.

Chasing Mr Morris is a little cafe located in a caravan at The Hamlet in Braddon. They have a selection of cakes and doughnuts and make pretty good coffee. I’ve had the golden daytime doughnut and the maple and bacon! They were good and considering there aren’t many place in Canberra that make doughnuts Chasing Mr Morris is a good addition to Canberra’s food scene. eatcanberra.com.au

Golden gaytime donut topped with smooth toffee icing on the top. Wouldn’t say that the recipe of the donut was the best, but at least it wasn’t dense and dry. The flavours do go well together, but it would’ve been better if the peanuts on top were fresher and not that soft. They do provide different variations of coffee(e.g nam nam – espresso and condensed milk), aside from the usual cap/ latte/ fw. The hippy vibe of the food truck – absolutely brilliant.

If I’m ever in the Braddon area I make sure to pop by the Hamlet to get a donut from here. With new flavours being introduced, there is always something new to try and a reason to come back. In a small food truck there is a cabinet displaying different assortments and flavours or donuts and cupcakes as well, for around $3.50. the last time I came I got the Cherry Ripe donut, which was consists of a basic yet fluffy cinnamon donut but it’s the toppings that make these donuts special. A wonderful chocolate ganache/sauce covered the donut, and sprinklings of coconut shavings gave a nice texture. An entire glac cherry was placed at the centre and gave a wonderful bite and flavour. The new and inventive flavours are often announced on their Instagram or Facebook page, and are the main reason I return moodandfood.wix.com

Want to grab donuts and coffee before work? Or maybe you just had something at The Hamlet and you want some desert to finish it off. Chasing Mr Morris has you covered with their homemade selection. If you combine a cupcake or donut from here with a hotdog from Broddogs and a Shake from April’s Caravan you would have an approximate version of an American deli/diner experience!

One of the van, Chasing Mr. Morris, is considered as one of the local favourites serving their delicious homemade donuts and fresh brewed coffee (it’s the expansion of Nookie Espresso Bar). Their classic cinnamon donut is everyone’s old favourite, but this time we opted for their popular Golden Gay Time Flavour! The combination of smooth toffee and vanilla glaze with crunchy chopped nuts (instead of cookie crumble) truly hit the spot with the soft, cakey and fluffy base letsnomnom.net
