Huge fan! I have churros from this guy almost every week. He tends to spend the first half of Wednesday by Vivaldi in the ANU campus. Great end to a Hamlet meal! The churros are cheap and fantastic when you get them fresh. I always get both chocolate and caramel dips. He skimps a bit but it doesn’t bother me.

Yum! After dinner at EightySix we took a stroll down to the Hamlet in hopes of getting a delicious shake from April’s but looks like her van has moved out but fortunately, The Churros King was there! We were a bit hesitant to try because the cart looks a bit dodgy.. even when surrounded by a bunch of food vans and also I wasn’t sure how the churros just sitting in the warmer (assuming it is in fact warming anything) would be any good.Luckily for us, while we were deciding a bunch of other people bought up all of the ready made ones so we were the first to get some from the new batch!Mmm, they were how churros should be! Nice and crispy on the outside but still soft and squishy on the inside.. plus there was a generous amount of delicious chocolate sauce dripping it’s way down the length of the churros. The only downer was no eftpos (not that I’d expect something of this size to have it) because we didn’t have quite enough cash on us to get the 6 for $10 deal… otherwise we would definitely have stuffed ourselves silly doing that. allthe.me

This guy is the best. His Churros are probably the cheapest in Canberra. I just wish he did the cinnamon version instead of just selling the icing sugar version. Other than that, the Churros are a great way too finish off your meal at The Hamlet.

I love this place. Ever since I first sampled the goodness from this rather unassuming food truck (well, I guess its more of a cart but whatever) many many months ago, Ive been keen to share this hidden churro gem with anyone who is willing to listen. Outside of this blog, there arent many, so I figureit is time to write up this post and try and spread the love for the Churros King!
