A shout out to the staff of Debacle for being so kind and prompt in their service. I asked for my meal to be delivered asap since I had to show to catch after and they really tried their best to serve me as soon as possible. Ordered Nachos and a beef burger amongst two people and we weren’t entirely satisfied. The nachos were great and filling. The burger on the other side was a little too oily and was getting really difficult to eat.

Our experience was a debacle. We went for breakfast on New Year’s Eve. Things started badly with a very cranky individual behind the counter behaving incredibly rudely and slamming down items like menus and credit cards.We were tempted to leave at that stage.Orders took forever to arrive and when they finally did we were served by a chef. I use the term with some reluctance. The food was cold, poorly presented, poached eggs were rock hard and the chorizo had been sliced and simply passed over a frypan. It was completely uncooked. Some of the drinks that were ordered, never appeared .We decided not to follow up and simply left, writing off the whole experience.It occurred to us that perhaps some of the waiting staff hadn’t turned up for the morning. If that was the case, a simple explanation would have helped. Frankly, though a lack of staff is not my problem as a customer and rude angry behaviour does little to evoke any sympathy.Won’t be going back. Too may other good options available along that strip.
Breakfast.Positives: Fantastic flat white, huge uncrowded area (in the morning), flat entryway (accessible) but heavy door, friendly and efficient service.Negatives: Very ordinary omelette, quite god-awful really.How to rate? I thought 3.5 but if I went to a place rated 3.5 and got food like that, I’d be disappointed. In fact I was. So, 3.
Came in here on a whim and was enticed by their full rack of ribs for $24. The presentation was immaculate and I was so excited to dig in.. I suppose you get what you pay for though. Unfortunately they were the roughed ribs I’ve ever attempted to tear my way through. I tend to pick bones clean, but I couldn’t even manage that with my carnivore teeth. The chips were pretty alright, but the salad was a bit sad, and the corn a little overdone so kind of soppy. All in all it wasn’t bad, but.. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Bit pricey, even the specials. Food was nice enough though, and big, but didn’t blow me away. Took a while to come out despite the pub being almost empty.
