I’ve often driven past the Haig and always thought it looks like a place stuck in a bygone era. But you never know, sometimes a place might not look that great, but the food might be good… So I tried them recently on Deliveroo! And unfortunately the food looked and tasted just as bad as the exterior and interior decor of the restaurant! As an italian speaker who lived in Italy, the bruschetta was sogged in a sticky black sauce, big chunks of tomatoes that tasted a bit old. Looked awful, tasted awful. Same with the pasta, doesn’t look good and doesn’t taste good either. The Tiramisu and Banana Pancotta was just as bad. The Banana Pancotta was watery and soggy with brown bits of banana in. The Tiramisu was completely tasteless. Disgusting. One should still serve quality take aways and deliveries. There are many other great Italian restaurants in Canberra, with proper italian names too! Italian & Sons, Mezzalira, Pizza Gusto, Cafe Sfoglia, Bicicletta, La Rustica, La Capanna, Belucci’s and many more. Even Jamie’s Italian and the chain Vapiano serves much better quality and at least their deliveries are very well packed and their bruschetta tastes like real authentic Italian Bruschetta. I will never go to the Haig and will never order from them again. And for those who feel like Italian, try one of the other italian places in Canberra, because the Haig is the very worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten.

It was so bad. Food was tasteless burnt and horrible save your money. Photos will speak for it self The penne mushroom was only half full tasteless if you cant cook mushrooms what the hell!!! My friend ordered the fettuccini with chicken it was so water and blend! Save your money
