Tried the famous chanchito, a Peruvian burger with pork belly. Definitely not an everyday eat with the sinful amount of fat sandwiched between the crusty buns. It’s not a big burger but I’d suggest going halves on this and sharing something else just because it was so rich. Our pork belly was literally a 50-50 meat to fat ratio. The onions added much needed texture and bite.

Probably my favorite truck in the Hamlet! My regular order here would be the Faite. It’s a pork belly Peruvian-style burrito. The product is consistently delicious and very filling. I would occasionally try other dishes and would not be disappointed. The tres leches is almost always sold out but after trying it for the first time, I understood why. The dessert was a bit on the steep end but it’s worth the splurge once in a while.

Hidden out the back of the hamlet, this Peruvian snack food truck is a hidden gem. We tried a faire perrito wrap and went back for a gringa chicken wrap immediately after. Each bite took us on a journey through Sweet sour savoury tender and crispy. Erection! Best meal in a long time. Thank you! Also tried a purple rice drink which was surprisingly tasty

Wow, wow, wow! I don’t usually get excited over burrito’ish’ type food, BUT Papa’s is the exception, the only exception!this quaint van located in Braddon has seriously nailed their take on the wrap! I was utterly astounded by how well made and authentically awesome the food was, everything fitted perfectly together! The meat was cooked to Peruvian perfection and the choice of sauce combined with the fluffy rice made this by far the best take on this style of food that I have ever had. The serving size was massive and it was fresh out of the oven, you can’t beat it.The music being played and the street atmosphere that the hamlet provides is the perfect place for this style of food. Drop by, grab some food, drink Inca Kola – just do it, you won’t regret it.

Otherwise known as ‘That Peruvian burger stall with the very long queue at the Canberra multicultural fair every year’. While I don’t know how authentic Mr Papa’s stuff is it is certainly very good. They have a new expanded menu this year but the two signature items are the same ones they do at the multicultural fair; their chicken wings (Alitas) and the pork sandwich (Chanchito). Be sure to also try the purple corn drink (Chicha Morada) they import for its novelty value; it’s supposedly very popular in Latin America.

Love this place!Great food and best music ever !We also like the variety of different drinks they got on offer like ‘purple corn tea’ also known as ‘chicha’

Man, they mustn’t start cooking until you’ve ordered your slow cooked pork belly. 25 mins to wait is way too long. Was it worth it? I should’ve gone somewhere else. What more, you get very little meat in your burrito. I ended up buying a pie somewhere else as the burrito was too pequeo.
