This little cafe is hidden in the Street Theatre building. They do interesting burger specials, think Dorito-crusted chicken burgers, and were doing $10 breakfast specials on Tuesdays. I’m not sure if they’re doing this any more. They also do fancy lattes like beetroot and hibiscus. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. The venue isn’t fancy but I’m not complaining when I can get breakfast for $10. eatcanberra.com.au
I have read some stellar reviews about this cafe. People rave about the coffee and the coffee is good but not the orgasm inducing beverage others have described. I had chicken gnocchi and it was the wrong side of delicious. Quality gnocchi ruined by scant quantities of chicken, diced vegetables that might have been out of a tin or freezer bag, and a sauce that was almost flavourless.
Never a disappointing meal at this place. The food is fresh and delicious, plus they cater for any dietary requirements. All staff are trained by Veneziano to make the perfect cup of coffee and provides (in my opinion) the best coffee in town! They also offer a discount on the coffee for all Uni students – bonus!
Excellent. Great food, Great Coffee, Great Staff and the price range is totally reasonable. Now open Saturdays which is bonus. A must for anyone living in or visiting Canberra.
