Walking through the civic area in the Capital, Dosa hut is a place that is hard to miss. It’s ambience and a busy atmosphere creates curiosity amongst passers by to try out this Indian eatery. They have enough experienced and polite staff to handle the expected crowd. While the majority of the customers are indian, there is an intermittent flow of other nationalities. The interiors are cosy and welcoming. However they often have South Indian songs playing out loud in the background, which can sometimes disrupt the pleasant dining experience for non-South Indians.Coming to food, the traditional South Indian dishes are satisfactory but the merge of North Indian dishes with a South Indian flavor are a disappointment. I was not looking forward to a samosa that had a filling of the masala that is usually eaten with masala dosa. The paneer stuffing in paneer dosa had a South Indian tempering. Why play around with the originality when there are enough South Indian options to serve! Over all, I feel there should be more focus on reviewing the food options and it’s quality.
