The Dear Luncher has a massive lazy streak in him and on this particular day decided that walking to a dinner table exactly 25 metres from his hotel bedroom was the appropriate decision. In desperate need of red meat, the menu was scanned and the only option in steak terms was a T-bone. T-bone one of The Dear Luncher’s least favourite cuts. Unavoidable inconsistencies across the entire terrain of this cut. And for$42the expectations were high. It was not a huge T-bone, nor was it particularly juicy. That being said it was cooked exactly as requested (medium) and was consumed in its entirety. The mash was a little stiff and tired, much like Your Dear Luncher. No Thermomix in the kitchen here it seems. The onion rings were excellent but there were a total of three. This is unfair. This is a tease. All in all just an OK experience. The hotel itself is starting to get a bit tired and in need of a revamp, and this restaurant falls into the same category. thedearluncher.wordpress.com
