Just a few meters from a noisy and busy cafe is Gozleme cafe. Polite and friend staff however lacking in food industry’s experience. Big breakfast can usually feed two person. The big breakfast is not ‘big’ compare with other cafe, with eggs, bacons and sausages. Not a breakfast for me.A place to re visit to try other food
The place is small and intimate with a rose (fake) on each table, suitable for a first date or catch up with a friend. The wait staff was very friendly, helpful and offered recommendations. They are able to alter dishes to suit dietary requirements and picky eaters. In my case, my dips were changed to suit my dietary requirements as a vegetarian and non-spicy eater.I ordered spinach and cheese thin bread with dip and apple tea.To my knowledge the dips are made in house and tasted decent when all 3 dips were eatten together for ultimate flavour. The dipping bread, served with a lemon wedge, was also very flavoursome as you’d expect with a cheese and spinach combo but not as oily. The apple tea is a belly warmer and tasted like warm apple juice which was surprisingly nice and definately a sipping drink to be enjoyed with the company of friends.
S&M. After 3 days in our nations Capital was about to give up on finding great food and coffee when by chance we happened upon Gozleme Cafe. Fantastic friendly staff, tasty quality delicous food and so far easly the best coffee and chai latte yet in Canberra. Made us Victoians want to come back for more. 10/10 …and parking across the road so bloody cheap!
Delicious gozleme and baklava. I heard my sister raving about Gozleme and finally got a chance to try it today. I came there at 3:15pm and the borek was run out, so I ordered a minced meat gozleme instead and it was soooo good! Also had a baklava which may be too sweet for others, but also very yummy to me. The (Turkish?) cookie is just okay, I like how thick the cookie is, giving you a (literal) mouthful when you bit into it, but its taste is not much different to non-Turkish cookies. Definitely coming back to try more items on their menu (borek perhaps) and more baklava!!
Good for something a bit different. Gozleme on London Circuit is only open Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm for breakfast and lunch. It has some interesting looking breakfast options and traditional pastries like Borek $5 and Gozleme $8. Serves are not large. However, a friendly, nice feel spot for a casual meal. foodandtravelsecrets
Yum. This place fits all the requirements for an awesome dining experience; friendly and efficient staff, fresh and tasty food, reasonable price, and good location. I would highly recommend this place for a casual lunch. The Gozleme tasted nice and healthy, not oily like the other Gozleme I’ve had at the Multicultural fest etc.
