I’ve come here a couple of times on a night out me and my friend always get the cocktails called that’s what she said so tasty!! the only thing I dislike is how small the bar is and it can get very crowded on Saturday nights mostly play rnb and hip hop which I love though

Went here on a Thursday night for a drink and something to eat. Was slightly disappointed with the 50minute wait for a pizza considering we were one of only two groups there and the only ones actually eating. Good spot for drinks but would try elsewhere for food.

Don’t drink the wine!. So we went to this little bar and sat on their sticky furniture and I ordered a glass of wine (sav blanc — can’t go wrong). Wine was undrinkable – not off, but really bad – and I’m no wine snob. Spoke to the bar staff, they tasted it and agreed that it tasted bad, but as it wasn’t off, wouldn’t replace it — and apparently weren’t authorised to replace it — I would have to pay for another glass. Really not happy, and not prepared to take the risk on something else. I think a small bar with a small wine list could make a bit of effort to ensure their drinks are drinkable.

Worst Christmas Party ever!!!!!! 0/10. Advice to owners and staff: Don’t take a Christmas Party booking if you cannot handle one.Arrived to find tables and chairs for our group squished against the wall opposite the bar leaving less than a metre between us and the bar (some might say this would be awesome except we could not get out from the table to get a drink anyway). Stated when they took the booking for a corporate party that it would not be 3rd party catering. Wrong again and food that arrived was around $50 worth and when forking out approx $600 would expect Tapas from a Tapas Bar. But alas no Tapas and the food we were served was terrible as well as no Gluten Free when clearly stated at time of booking (Aldi’s got a sale out of this I am sure). All in all lies at booking, awful area to be placed for a group party and no food from venue, fully external catering that was worse than eating cardboard in some instances – I am sure there was cardboard in the mini runny quiches.Thank you for the Christmas extortion experience. And change your name to The Playground NO TAPAS Bar.Won’t be going back……EVER!

Unprofessionalism!!!!!. My partner and I had heard that Playground Martini and Tapas Bar had a nice atmosphere, and so were excited to try it out. This could’t be further from the truth. When we entered the bar it was quite busy, and seemed quite fun. Unfortunately, when we went to the bar to order some drinks and tapas, we were confronted with who I assume was the manager. This man was loud, arrogant, and continuously swore at his staff in front of us and the other patrons. This ruined the whole atmosphere, and we felt uncomfortable for us and the staff. We found this seriously unprofessional and will not recommend the bar to any of our friends.

Kitchen closed at 8:45?!. Went for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was almost empty, yet we had to wait 15 minutes for a staff member to even take our order, and another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. The small plates were tasty enough, but wanting to leave a little room for dessert (churros), we waited patiently while our plates were cleared and the two staff members walked back and forth ignoring us. Finally, we went to the bar to order dessert, only to be told that the kitchen was closed. At 8:45pm???!!! And without even asking if there were any final things (like dessert?!) that we’d like to order? Come on, that is just rude. I’m very disappointed and will never go back there again, fortunately there are other places in Canberra now that do churros!!!
