Wouldn’t recommend it!. Menu is plain, very shabby and doesn’t explain dishes well. I had a combination tempura bento, tasted pretty average, particularly the meat (whatever it was) which tasted like it was cooked earlier and reheated in the microwave. $15 for some tempura broccoli, seafood extender, boiled rice and yesterday’s meat made me want to do the runner instead of pay. The place sucks you in because it looks appealing from the outside.
Went to this place expecting fine food & service but left disappointed. Price wise is not expensive, but with those serving size, it’s almost a rip-off. Ordered tempura prawn entree (3 pieces) for $9, I actually got baby prawn stretched to make them bit long. Ordered prawn gyoza main (8 pieces), again got baby gyoza too. What made the experience worse was that, out of 4 orders (2 entree + 2 mains) and steam rice, they came out one at a time (5-10 minutes in between), and then a jug of water last. Definitely not worth the night!
Bad service, Okay food. Trying to get the waiter to bring our food while entertaining his friends was frustrating. We used the service bell multiple times and kept asking for our rice. By the time (45mins) the rice was given to us, we already ate all the meat.
Went in for an unplanned korean BBQ. Generous servings and pleasant staff. What more do you need?
My mum said I should always find something positive. Their seaweed salad is Ok. ( I think they buy it in pre made) sort of positive 🙂 was hoping for some steamed edamame but they didn’t sell that. ;-(21 Sep, 2011Unfortunately this restaurant does not live up to the idea of ‘fresh’ being important. I ordered a mixed large sashimi and received a plate of Salmon only. On complaining they added 4 strips of a white fish which they could not tell me the name of. All were a bit slimy and warm and only time will tell if it was toxic. Certainly a budget venue but prices were I think still on the high side for the offer. I love japanese cuisine but would not be able to have a second go here!
