Spicy Ginger advertises all you can eat yum-cha, however this is not true, as my wife and I went for all you can eat, but after 11 (average size yum-cha) dishes, the staff completely ignore you and stop any kind of table service. Funnily enough, they even try their best not to make any sort of eye contact with you least you call them over and ask for more food. The yum-cha is average at best, and to advertise it as all you can eat, is simply not true.

I like the Xinjiang Chicken and always go there for it with friends. The mushroom soup taste good but I assume it is full of GSM… still it is a nice restaurant to get together while there is many people in the company.

Avoid this place if you are looking for Yum Cha experience. If you are here to meet and greet friends, it is a good space to sit and talk. It has a high rating as one of the top 3 yum Cha restaurant, but I am suspecting it was a paid article. No tea first of all just plain tap water, then the dumplings and tim sums are straight from frozen at Costco and supermarkets. So why pay $22 for buffet yum cha? It is really to catch up with friends who cannot travel around.

Went here for the $20 all you can eat yum cha. Yes you read it correctly. It is $20.Service was great. They are very generous with the portion and the staff were very attentive as they kept on bringing food to us. Food was ok, didn’t completely wow me. Their har gaw and siumai were nice, but for other dishes I had better in the past.Overall, I would totally go back there as it was such a good value.

I have been there for yamcha and lunch. The yamcha is quite good, you can have variety of choices. The flavour is also good. For the normal dishes, I think they are also fine for quick lunch or dinner. Some dishes are really big plates to share.

It serves great selection of Chinese dishes. I love their Xinjiang Chicken with noodle. But it is really big portion, it is good for a group of 3 to finish it with other dishes. The dishes alone is very sufficient for two people, but it is boring if just ordering one dish. In overal, the food they are serving is very good~!

Was surprised at how good their dumplings and dan dan noodles were – tasted really fresh and would happily come back for more. A tick for their service too, as we came here at about 9pm after a function at ANU and while they were nearly closing up, they were happy to sit us down and didn’t rush us while we were eating. briantamfood.com
