What’s happened??? The bubbly waitresses have gone and the beautiful fresh flowers have as well. This place has well, slid downwards…..23 Feb, 2015I had lovely lunch here on 20 February 2015. It was a warm welcome by the bubbly waitress, she highlighted some new items on the menu. I took her recommendations – I was not disappointed, in fact, really pleasantly surprised and delighted – everything I had from the tapas menu far exceeded my expectations – keep up the great work Tongue and Groove. I also love the new fresh look – fresh flowers, tables nicely set and uncluttered. I’ll be back! 🙂
All in all not too bad. The waitress serving us was lovely and struck some good conversation when we went to pay the bill which is always nice. The food was pretty av, would not recommend the pork belly pizza but the chicken and bacon one was good (although bacon can make anything taste good hehe) prices overall weren’t too bad but I think that’s cause we somehow got one pizza for free (winning). Nice decor inside and a pretty cool vibe. Overall I give the place a 6.35/10
Pathetic service and rude service to boot! I waited 10 min at the bar whilst being pushed out of the way by wait staff only to be overlooked for service!
Stuck up, pretentious atmosphere. Overpriced drinks. Don’t waste your time in line, there are much nicer places to enjoy a night out in Canberra.
Sunday Roast. We bought a Sunday roast 4 for $50 voucher online (50% discount)… We were looking forward to the advertised pork belly roast and beef knuckle roast… instead when we arrived we were advised that the roast had been changed to a chicken maryland and a lamb shank with mashed potato. It tasted fine but definately a disappointment. they knew my booking was for the online special and had my phone number, so a phone call would have been appreciated so we could have had the option to rebook.
