A novelty Chinese restaurant in Australia. Not many of them do Hunan dishes and A Bite offers that. The food is WAY HOTTER (Chilli hot) than Sichuan food and has common folk ingredients like stomach, pigs ears that Cantonese restaurants for formal meals tend not to serve. Yunnan Cross the Bridge noodles and hot pots are also on offer for a mainland Chinese experience. The decor is funky modern Chinese.

I like this place. Something different. Funky decoration and they have board games. Pig ear smells great with strong sesame oil. The texture is crunchy and chewy at the same time. Goes well with chilly oil.Crossing-bridge rice noodle soup is an experience. They serve every ingredient separately then you follow the instructions to put them together. I order the chicken broth with goji berry. The broth tasted so good and sweet. The quail egg was turned to poached egg and vegetables just crisp and cooked in the hot bowl. I’d love to come back and try other dishes.

Their snacks like tofu and duck are not bad, but their hot and sour noodle tastes a bit too vinegarish. But the staff that delivers to me is really friendly even though I forgot to pick up the order.

Great authentic Chinese restaurant with creative Asain dishes. Funky and friendly environment for young people and food lovers. You can stay here for a relaxing afternoon or evening, free WiFi and power charger are provided. This restaurant is listed in Canberra Good Food Guide and recommended by the editor. More information please see Australian Good Food Guide webpage.

great style. I love the huge teddy bear at the door! It’s sooooooooo cute! The food is really authentic. Makes me feel like back in China again. WiFi and board games make it a perfect place for friends get-together. They provide brilliant home delivery service and their drivers even take eftpos!

Awesome food. This place deserves better reviews, not your typical asian that you get around the place, well worth a try.I had the sour/spicy taro noodle hotpot, lemon ice tea and taro milk tea and it was awesome and super cheap.

This place is so cool!. We wandered in here early on a weeknight. When I saw the ‘Sauce Station’, which included freshly cut herbs, Szechuan pepper oil, a vintage sewing machine and other exciting condiments, I was in love.We ordered pickled vegetables, prawn dumplings, a ‘small’ chicken hot pot with added squid and a side of rice. It was a lot of food for two people (and my hubby can really put it away!)Our food came out quickly and was ridiculously tasty! The waiter was amazing! Super attentive and very friendly. We were brought some complimentary ice tea, which was a delicious surprise. The restaurant also has a shelf of board games, free wifi and power. The decor is understated and charming. The music is a cool, and sometimes funny, mush mash of modern pop, Asian PPP and classics and 90’s Mariah. Brilliant!I can’t understand why more people don’t post adoring reviews of this place.
