This restaurant deserves better reviews. The decor is unique – a combination of cute and modern (it reminded me of Taiwan and Korea), and from my time spent there, attracted a large younger Asian population. Noodles and hot pots seemed to be a specialty and was even more so appealing to me due to the cold (Winter). As someone who is of Chinese ethnicity but am not too familiar with Chinese cuisines offered in China (grew up elsewhere), this restaurant offers unique dishes that are not commonly served in more mainstream Chinese restaurants. If you’re a foodie wanting a new experience, I would highly recommend it.My partner and I ordered two noodle dishes and thought the flavours of both (spicy pork mince noodle soup) and (crossing the bridge, beef noodle soup) were delicious and authentic. Sure, the flavours are a bit more subtle than what you might get elsewhere but it screams home-cooked authenticity to me which is hard to find. We also ordered some steamed dumplings (literal translation: small dragon bun) which we thought were delicious although thought they could serve it in a way that ensures the dumplings didn’t stick on the bamboo steamer and hence the juices didn’t drip out before it went into our mouths!I can’t wait to go back and try more items on their menu.

I really wanted this restaurant to be good. Authentic Chinese food is not commonly found in Canberra and this place looked like it would offer that. I WAS WRONG. Despite the modern look, this noodle joint is nothing more than a pretty face. The food tastes bad. The noodles are overcooked, the soup was salty (and full of MSG), the spicy chicken rice () was flavourless, the roasted duck was fried, dry and tasteless. As a Chinese, I have nothing good to say about it.
