– impossible to make a booking as 2 staff members couldn’t understand English at all- our friends had managed to make a booking, but 1.5 hours later we still hadn’t been served- no mention on the menu of nuts, however one dish (chicken with BBQ sauce) contained ground nuts- as our child started to have an anaphylactic reaction & we started to yell for ‘milk’ – they didn’t understand & thought we still wanted the rest of our ‘meals’ that still hadn’t arrived- afterwards (the child is still with us) – when we asked how this had happened the manager said it was ‘up to us to check’ before we ordered (despite the staff’s English), as the Chinese part of the menu did include the fact that some food had nuts, not the English part. He took no responsibility either for forgetting our order, or the nut issue – ie. he refused to apologise.The food was average (very oily), and the service appalling. Don’t go to this restaurant.
When it comes to Chinese u can’t really go wrong can u? Well I am a big fan of steam live fish, I don’t understand why it came out so oily for being steamed look at all the oil on the plate. Same as the Chinese broccoli 🙁 won’t be back there I couldn’t believe it!!!!
There were 7 of us in our dinner party. We didn’t order any seafood other than a steamed Silver Perch. We ordered a total of 6 dishes and the food was good. The fish was perfectly steamed, the crispy skin chicken lovely and the goji berry pork was fantastic. It came up to about $32 per person which I thought was good value for money
A neat clean restaurant tucked away in Dickson. Lovely service and food. Very accommodating. Can get quite busy during the weekends. Really enjoyed our time. Reasonable pricing.
Pretty poor all in all. Wait staff were rude and unhelpful when we asked for recommendations. Food came out at a good speed but that’s about it. Food was mediocre and overpriced, and I won’t be going back in a hurry.
Fresh and tasty Chinese food excellent!! XO mud crab is so good and also perfect cooking steam fish. Price is quite high but you will get what you pay.
Valentine’s day dinner. I thought we would go out for Chinese .. As we just moved to canberra a few months ago … Upon arrival I was excited to be eating some Chinese as we don’t go out that often … We ordered an entree of steamed dim sims … Which was 3 very little bite size pieces .. We ordered garlic lamb, & chicken in plum sauce .. We didn’t want batter on the chicken & I asked the waiter how it would be cooked & if it was chicken breast & how the sauce would be made , he assured me it would be chicken Breast in a creamy kind of sauce … After ordering our main meal I said to the waiter that we would just go out front for a quick cigarette which a firm No from him saying he would like us to eat our dinner first …. Was a little stunned at first but took it on the chin & we wen’t out anyway .. Our main meals arrived & the sizes were very small … The chicken look like a chicken snitzel (deep fried with some kind of smear of sauce on top which looked & tasted nothing like plum sauce & had a 1cm thick crispy batter around over cooked … Waiter’s were rude also no clue about the food they were serving … $90 down the drain … Also they asked 4 a tip when paying with my card … I gave them a firm I don’t think so as not happy … Never be back to this low class $5 meal shop ever again
