This place is tasty, but be wary for the gluten free diner. Check they use GF soy! And you must check every dish served. Easier to go elsewhere…

Very solid neighborhood Asian food with a little bit of makes for everybody as well as nice friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual night out.
A bad night to be there, a large group booking and VERY loud female patron with a laugh that would disturb the dead. People were moving tables to get away from her.The food was OK – nothing great. We have been there 3 or 4 times previously since moving to the area in 2014. A very standard menu, we asked for extra chilli/heat/kick to the food – none – it is VERY mild. My partner is Spanish – so we like spice and flavour. It does not have to be about being eye watering hot. What salt (and table salt does not count – it should be used only for cooking and nothing more) does to season western food, the sauces do the same with Asian food. And they lacked good strongflavour. It is what I call ‘country Chinese’ – when compared to what you get in big cities, or Asian restaurants in Civic or Barton. I did enjoy the Singapore noodles, brought back memories of curries with Keens curry powder mum made when I was growing up.
Good food and Quick service. Request to make the food spicy was kindly adhered to. Staff were friendly. The only thing i can pick on is the ambience and table spacing. It was bit congested for my liking.
Best in Canberra!. They do the best food..Chinese is always ‘Ginger and Spice’Aussie takeaway is always ‘The G Spot’Best 2 places in town!
Popular due to its middle-of-the-roadness. This restaurant is just like every other chinese restaurant out there. Menu is very generic and you will find all your favourite dishes here, whether dining in or getting take away. No faults, at the same time, not memorable either. The safe option.
Good value, quick service. I’ve never actually eaten in but always got takeaway, so this review is for takeaway from Ginger and Spice. The service is super quick! They always tell you 15-20 minutes but unless it’s a huge order it’s usually less than 10! It’s nice enough Cantonese style food, a bit better than the average suburban Chinese restaurant. Not overly salty or unbalanced sauces and the meat is decent quality. While the restaurant itself doesn’t look flashy (clean and tidy though) like Sammy’s etc in town, the food is pretty much the same quality. I’m happy to go back there regularly for takeaway and I’d probably do the sit-down service if I had relatives with kids visiting. Like most Chinese restaurants it seems to be family-friendly.
There is not a lot on the menu but it does have all the traditional Chinese dishes that you would find in a typical Chinese restaurant in Australia. The service was nice and friendly. It wasn’t to expensive either. I would dine here again.
