This is one of my favourite Thai restaurants in Canberra, good for a simple dinner, always had good service – my favourite dish is the duck chilli basil stirfry, so good!
Mediocre at best. Thai food is supposed to be wholesome and full of flavour. Food was indeed full of strong flavour from the LEMONGRASS. Oh my goodness. If I wanted a bowl of herbs of dinner, I would’ve gone to a spice shop or something. I honestly thought I took a huge bit of entangled lemongrass! Very stingy on the portion. Had a duck dish which half of it was neck and bone garnished with… LEMONGRASS! They served rice (for one in this case) in this massive tin, taking up valuable table real estate. Their water seems to be sponsored by ActewAGL which is nice to know. And found a piece of hair in my dish… Hope I don’t die from lemongrass poisoning tonight.
Good food and good service. Good options if you are a vegetarian. I loved their chicken and basil salad. One of the better Thai food I have had at a reasonable price.
The coconut rice was great. We had chicken satay skewers for entree which were great too, but that’s where is ended. The red curry was soupy, lacked vegetables and hardly any tofu (which I had to ask for). We also ordered Lard Na, the noodles were do disgustingly overcooked to fill the takeaway container quicker. Not to mention, we had an entertainment book voucher for 25% off and was told when I picked it up that it’s for dine in only. It certainly does not specify dine in only in the entertainment book. I understand that some restaurants are dine in only, but they make that clear by stating this in the book. Not to mention, this is the first and only restaurant that has not been true to the voucher. Had I not been with a friend who ordered food with me, I would have left ordered something somewhere else! I will be writing to the entertainment book about this.Don’t waste your time and money, there are plenty of better spots around the G who are more grateful for your business.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. Great Thai food, huge specials menu and always friendly service. We go here every few weeks and we’re never disappointed!
