We went for dinner with a few friends and apart from the fact that there was no air conditioning and it was 30+ degrees, it was a nice place to eat. The food was good. The sercive was good. The feel of the restaurant was average. The spot where it is is a bit odd. All up it was good experience.
My first experience at NH8 Indian restaurant was good. The ambiance feels average however the crispy Indian bread ( tandoori roti and nan ) were excellent and delicious .we had Indian desert Kulfi at the end of our meal . The kulfi comes with a stick attached to it . I have tried the same desert at other Indian restaurant which served as block rather than a stick . Recently I brought the same desert at Indian grocery store which tastes same . The waiter / server who served the same said they prepared it themselves . Only NH8 chef should clarify . Otherwise the food was closure to authentic tastes served in India . I am satisfied with the food here and would try it again .

You really wouldn’t realise that you’re in another country because the flavours and variety of dishes is right up there with the best of Mumbai and Delhi!The wait staff and chef are all friendly and very intent on ensuring that every customer is promptly attended to; and is enjoying his/her food.The pricing is quite fair. The quantity is hearty!My family’s favourite dishes are:Achari BainganMethi ChickenBlack Dal / Dal MakhaniPaan KulfiThis place is undoubtedly one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to anywhere in the world! NH8 is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Canberra. Authentic flavours and very reasonable prices. Great friendly service… We dine-in weekly!
Disapointed this time around. Have had takeaway twice before and was happy with the service and meals.This time our takeaway was half hour late, and most of the sauce had spilled out of the container and into the bag.Food still tasted nice.
WOW!,. Nh8 Indian restaurant at Yerribi Pond was recommended by our son and wife and a friend. We tried a takeaway tonight 14/3/15. OMGoodness! The food was absolutely sensational. We had butter chicken, rice and their divine bread. Best butter chicken ever. rice and bread were so delicious. Perfection! Food was delivered exactly on time by an extremely courteous young man and the price was reasonable. The portions were big, in fact we are having the leftovers for dinner tomorrow night. The menu is varied with many other amazing dishes. It was very difficult to choose. We will definitely be eating there in future. I would highly recommend Nh8. Magnifique! Thank you. Jacqueline
