I visited Sultan’s Turkish Pide for a quick dine-in meal during a recent work trip. From the moment you walk in, it is clearly an informal affair. It’s a nice little Turkish take-away in the heart of Gungahlin with some seating available for dining in.The ordering system is a little bit disjointed: you have to write your own kebab order onto the kebab packaging and then hand it to the staff. However, the service was friendly and fast. The serving sizes are good and my kebab was tasty with plenty of fillings. The rice pudding dessert was a little plain, but met expectations given the fast, informal nature of the venue. Prices are quite fair and I would recommend this for a quick meal.
We went here on a public holiday and were glad to see it open. The premises are clean, although the customer service can be better. We tried the chicken kebab and the chicken plate. The chicken kebab was huge, very good value for the $9.50. I liked the bread, which was nice and pillowy (and square). The chicken was well cooked. The kebab plate had the same chicken, same salad and some rice with pinenuts. The kebab plate was standard, nothing spectacular.Overall, good value for money if you stick to the kebab.
