New neighbour on the block was a pleasant surprise that sprung seemingly out of nowhere. Toby’s Estate beans are a great start to some smooth coffee. People who prefer a stronger taste may need to ask for for a double/triple/quad shot but I’m rather happy. Food is simple stuff done well. Decor is a bit mundane and the aesthetic a bit faux. The room echoes and could do with some softening and character. Their eclectic range of mugs made my day. Getting a warming cappuccino in a 1970s Melbourne tourist mug put a grin on my face. It’s the small details that count and I hope they can transfer a bit of that to making the food and the atmosphere a little bit more unique.
