I think this might be the best place to get a Turkish pizza for the whole of south canberra if not the whole place, they also have very nice dishes for dining in, have eaten here on many occasions, fpod is always amazing.
Second time dropping into Turkish Grill down in Erindale. What can I say? Packed full of flavour with nothing left to spare. The dips, the bread, even down to the house made mayo which changes every day because it’s genuinely House madeLush. Creamy. Flavourful. The best bit? The Turkish rice. Something so simple, done so right. Staff: 9/10Food: 10/10Ambience 7/10Eftpos, no limit – takeaway and subs allowed.
Came here for a family lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised and definitely full after the end of it all. Between the four of us, two got the ‘lunch banquet’ ($20 each) and the other two got the ‘mini banquet’ ($26). The service was friendly and accommodating for our slow approach to all of the food, and ensured we were enjoying our meal (which we were). The entrees included two baskets of warm and fresh turkish bread with 6 dips (eggplant, hummus, carrot, chilli, beetroot and tzatziki), zucchini balls, and potato balls. I’m not sure if this was an error on the restaurants behalf but we also received four feta spring rolls rather than 2, and four parmesan chicken rather than 2 but I can’t really complain 😉 For the mains we got a lamb and chicken kebab with a side of turkish rice. We preferred the lamb kebab, because of the sauce, but the chicken kebab is full of flavour and delicious. The turkish rice was buttery and had been cooked in chicken stock, a great accompaniment for the kebabs and their sauce. The other main we got was the mediterranean chicken pide – turkish bread encasing a cheesy filling with flavourful chicken, tomatoes, feta and a mixture of herbs. The mediterranean salad that came with it was nothing special, just a bowl of olives, feta, cucumber and lettuce, but it was nice to have something refreshing on the side.Overall we had a great experience and food for a reasonable price. You do fill up on bread, and you’re bound to have leftovers by the end of it, but the staff were very kind and were happy to provide takeaway containers for us to take home. If I had to recommend one thing from here, it would definitely be their pide or their banquet options, because they’re great value! moodandfood.wix.com
Not very accomodating. Rang these guy to see if they could give us the option pack 2, but without the Pide. The response was that they were too busy to change the packs. When I pointed out that all they had to do was not give me a pide and charge me less, the minion on phone said they wouldn’t charge us any less. All you’d really want is a $5 reduction or something. So we rang Fig and Olive in Chisholm who were more than accommodating.
Went here for the first time last weekend for my mums birthday. It was more expensive than most other turkish places I’ve been to in Canberra and the food was nothing special. The staff were extremely rude! I would not recommend or go back to this restaurant.
They never fail… The food is tasty and plentiful… Service is very attentiveWell done
My daughter overbooked tables for her twenty first birthday the owner was very upset about it and verbally abused her about it, she apologized repeatability but he wouldn’t let it go , I intervened but he then became more unreasonable that fourteen people got up and left, thank you for ruining a young girls night I will never eat at your restaurant again and I will be advising my family and friends of your rudeness
