Friendly service, flavour of food on point not too salty. Will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. Love chilli and the hot chilli chicken dish is actually spicy. Topped off with fried ice-cream. Yummo!
Cassidy – we tried the Albury Chinese Restaurant on the weekend, getting a serve of spring rolls, the crispy skin chicken, sweet & sour pork and special fried rice takeaway.I really didn’t like the spring rolls, the inside was just something mushy. The batter on the sweet & sour pork mixed with the sauce had congealed by the time we were eating it, making it pretty much inedible. If we were to try here again I’d ask for the pork separate from the sauce to avoid this. The crispy skin chicken was ok, a little dry, but definitely not what I’d call crispy. The rice was good with a generous amount of the ‘special’ ingredients in it. Service was friendly, but I did wonder how fresh everything was when I was told it would only take 5 minutes to prepare. I don’t think we’d head back here.Sneakers – as Cassidy mentioned, the batter on the sweet & sour pork was soggy so that was a huge let down. The spring rolls themselves were very small and definitely appeared to have some kind of mushy – almost a paste-like – filling. The crispy skin chicken wasn’t too bad but it was hardly crispy and contained a lot of bones. To be honest the best thing from this restaurant that we ordered was the fried rice, which doesn’t say a lot I suppose. Yum Cha is delicious and extremely cheap, amazing dumplings. One of the only restaurants in town that has an accurate online presence (Facebook has menus etc) too.
Ordinary. Have been twice now and both times the service has been slow due to lack of staff on the night by the looks of things. The food is a lack luster event. Far to much onion throughout all the dishes, bland and gluggly probably from the over use of corn starch.
