I tend to judge a pub by the standard of their chicken parmys, as this is normally my go-to pub meal.Unfortunately, the bended elbow has failed to live up to my expectations. On two separate occasions I received parmys that were soggy and with very thin chicken schnitzels. The chips and salad were also incredibly average.The popcorn chicken however is the one redeeming factor which I actually did really enjoy.

Happy to see so many vegan options on the menu. However would like to see a vegan dessert on there.I got the Mexican chilli, it was OK. The rice was overcooked and had no spices. The chili wasn’t spicy and didn’t taste authentic, not the right spices for Mexican, kindof tasted like aeroplane food. The vegan sour cream didn’t taste like sour cream at all but it was delicious, the star of the meal. Chips were good. Guacamole was lacking, needed some coriander, lemon juice, tomato, etc. Or something to make it more exciting. Salad was OK.I wouldn’t order it again.If I come back I’ll try the risotto but ask for no truffle oil as that’s not vegan.I’d also like to see a vegan gravy and vegan aioli for chips.
Not the same as years ago. Steak quality dropped, sauce is bad. Ordered mushroom sauce but taste like red wine gravy with mushroom spices. Now i know why such low rating.
