The basic fish and chips (a reasonable $10) had soggy batter that pushed me to eat it with a knife and fork. The fish was ok, nothing notable. Some of the standard crinkle-cut chips were crisp, others soggy. The calamari rings ($1.50 each) felt soggy but actually had a great texture and a good batter, so they were the standout. The restaurant is licensed and is mostly semi-outdoor seating by the road, good for a cafe feel. Its ok but this talking lifestyle national radio competition (Ive never heard of it) that voted it no. 1 in NSW has some explaining to do.

Its just your average fish & chip shop really. The burgers & fish are quite good but the chips are very ordinary. Im always very wary of any place with a BEST FISH & CHIPS IN NSW sign it never bodes well

@viewinglounge X @fishboneandco BARRA BURGER: fried barramundi, coleslaw and aioli on a milk bun .Was recently invited to an exclusive collaborative launch of FB&Co in Alexandria and The Great Wall on DVD. As the name suggests this is a seafood lovers heaven and come summer I can really see this place going off. Not the hugest fans of the old fish burger, but if you’re gonna do one atleast use quality ingredients. Crunchy slaw, soft bun, nice fish that just flaked under the pressure of my bite. Keen to come back and try something a little meatier soon
