This busy little hot spot on Annandale’s Johnston St pumps out some great seafood!I love the grilled fish and the Greek style octopus is always a must. They have a great selection of salads and also put together a pretty decent burger.There isn’t a lot of space to sit in store, however there is some seating outside. I generally pick up my food to take home and it travels well.They offer a few specials and both grilled and fried seafood is good quality.
The basic fish and chips and calamari is not super quality but all had good crispy batter and decent tender interiors, plus a good price and large portions. The outdoor tables and the big range of salads in the window might be a nod to modern trends but the six large jars of chicken salt proudly displayed at the register strongly argues against any sophistication (fortunately, they will not put that abominable stuff on the chips without asking first). Just an old-style fish shop that cooks the food properly.
