Bought a hi tea deal on scoopon. Not recommended. Had corn fritters, sandwiches and some scones. The food was served very slow. We waited for almost half an hour to an hour for dishes to come out. Not worth the money.
This place use to be so good when Rose owned it. Great menu and terrific service. Nowadays the owner and the badly trained staff never acknowledge or smile at you. Uninteresting menu with little flair. And if you dine in, the furniture particularly outside is dreadfully uncomfortable. So much potential here. Far better options available in Annandale.
Stale food and unfriendly service made for a very unpleasant experience. With such potential, you would really expect better quality. Would definitely not be coming back here and would encourage others to avoid as well.
We had high tea at Caf Sienna and we were very happy with food, good strong coffeeand customer service…Very good value for money and very relaxing.
Dont do it to yourself. The Cafe Sienna really should be a good cafe. They have a good location and Toby’s Estate Coffee but that’s where the good points end. As a local, I’ve given them quite a few chances and each time has been worse than the last. The staff are sulky and unfriendly while the food is below average. Corn fritters were definitely microwaved and had been cooked days before, bread was stale and inedible and ingredients were the worst quality. No idea how they can charge $20 for below average lunch items, it’s insulting to diners of Annandale they expect us to eat this food. As for the favourable reviews on here, I’d say they’ve been written by the owners. There are so many better local options, just keep walking.
Have walked past many times and today thought we’d give it a go. Won’t be making that mistake again. Service excruciatingly slow and without a hint of a smile. My toast was barely warm – no colour on it and a degree or two above my fingertips’ temp. Certainly not warm enough to melt the rock hard butter. The bacon was good but the mushrooms spoke of being cooked numerous times. The serve of chorizo was minuscule. When we told them that the toast was so sad, they could not have cared less. In a suburb with so many cafes, I’ll be taking my Sunday morning brunch habits elsewhere.
Annandale pearler. Ate a scrumptious breakfast there, as I sat outside in the shade this morning. Chose the Vegetarian Breakfast. Wise decision. Huge plate arrived promptly, nicely displayed with fresh, delicious produce. Squeaky haloumi, fluffy scrambled eggs, perfect avocado, tasty beans in sauce, buttery baby mushrooms, grilled tomato with herbs and ciabatta. Couldn’t eat it all and I was famished after my morning swim. Coffee strong and hot. A lovely experience.
