My friends and I just drove across Sydney to support a musical friend putting on a small concert at The Vinery and had dinner there too. We bought wine by the glass and were rather surprised to see our glasses very underfilled – even a glass of prosecco was filled to only about an inch in the bottom of a very slim glass. The food came in malnourished portions, while the price was extremely healthy, one dish was forgotten, and we’d had to wait a considerable time before those dishes they’d remembered actually arrived at the table. During that time the waiter asked us several times if we’d like to order more drinks! We (and several other groups at the restaurant that night) left hungry and went to the pizza place a few doors away to supplement what had been meagre rations at The Vinery. We’re not big eaters mind, but if you’re after something larger than a stingy portion, I’d give this place a miss.
