Value, flavour, atmosphere, hospitality. As a local, with five-star dining experience in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and abroad, I have been frequenting the Mun Hing for many years.Honestly, what more could you want? It really is great value, as flavoursome as you want/order, the atmosphere is pleasant and spacious and the hospitality is very friendly and relaxed. For visitors, take it from a local, that this is a reliably good Chinese dining experience. PLUS it is easy to find!
Not at all authentic, and not tasty. We were in Armidale on a Sunday night and there wasn’t a lot open, but this seemed the busiest of the asian restaurants with 4 tables seated. They were slow to acknowledge out arrival and seat us, but following that service was fairly prompt. The food, however, took a long time to arrive. The staff were surprised when we wanted to share the meals, and chopsticks were not offered. The food itself was generous in portion size but nothing I’d go back for – the flavours were very generic. Places like this give small town restaurants a bad name.
