I have dined here several times in the past year and not once have I been disappointed. On my last visit I started with a Smokin Mule cocktail which was a beautiful blend of chilli, lime and mint, a fantastic compliment to the Mexican cuisine. I followed this with the potato skins – naughty but totally worth it. For a main I had the chicken burrito and my partner had the the scotch fillet. These were both well cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. However, the winner for the night was the taco we ordered ($5 taco Tuesday) out of curiosity. Chorizo, feta and chipotle sauce. Delightful! My only complaint about the restaurant is on a busy night it can get very noisy so be sure to ask for one of the corner tables if available.

My order was brought with the wrong meat, then took half an hour to replace (while my companion’s was sitting there getting cold as he slowly ate); I asked for no chilli or capsicum and could barely eat the nachos it was so spicy hot. My companion liked the crepes but I thought the lime cheesecake was quite bland. They did apologise for the mistake and reduce the price by a few dollars. The food was tasty but we would not return or recommend.
Great Celebration. We had a surprise party here for 30 people, eating the plates for mates menu. We had a great night -excellent service and delicious food . One happy vegan. I went to Coughing Gerkin last night with a large group and we got the plates with mates selection. We had called ahead to advise there might be a vegan attending and the staff were more than happy when we arrived to provide me with vegan alternatives including vegan nachos, they even let me choose the toppings for my pizza option. The food was delicious and I left feeling exceptionally well fed. Not always the case when you’re a vegan with a group of meat eaters getting tapas 🙂
