Classic Aussie tucker. When you walk in this place there is no hipster bakery attitude. The offerings here are like the bakeries of old straight out of the CWA cookbook. The faces behind the counter are perhaps a little different but super friendly and make sure the hot stuff was put in a separate bag from the pastries. Others don’t care about this sort of stuff (they put a topped cronut in a bag and put napkins on top) This is a place where hot food is still sub $4 ie you’re not paying $8 for a pie. Had a sausage roll, then took away a potato pie and a cream lamington. Liked the cream in the cream lamington best. No nonsense local bakery. Oh, and if you want, you can get a banh mi too.
