My favourite Shanghainese restaurant in all of Sydney. Little can I say, ive been there since 5 years of age. Even though its a small shop, their food packs heaps of flavour! My favourite are their xiao long bao. Chewy wrapper with flavoursome pork mince and of course, the soup! Honestly, its so deadly that youll eat 8 portions in one go. The owner and staff are honestly the best! Theyll help you decide on what you want, if youre stuff on the one too many food options. And youll definitely walk out with a food coma by the end.
Amazing food that tastes really authentic! =] Every time we go there, the food is fresh. I always get the pan fried buns, hot and sour soup, handmade noodles and xiao long bao! Delicious!!
This little place is a great spot for fast and affordable food, in the front of the store it is mainly take always as it looks empty. Patrons who eat are mainly Chinese and the flavors are authentic and true to their traditional ways and are not westernized dishes.A friend and I walked past looking at all the dumpling menus and thought we wouldn’t get a seat in the other ‘fancy/nicer’ looking places as their are people queuing outside and we didn’t have any patience to wait.We have been returning at least once a week now and for 2 people about 3 dishes (shared, 1 plate fried rice cake – 2 servings of steamed dumplings) roughly about $30 tops.Staffing are quiet and fast, as I am accustomed to the asian culture and hospitality, I don’t really expect over priced foods and superior service, I only expect good flavors and portion of the servings. The dumplings are all handmade on premises as you can taste it in each one. The fried rice cakes are little rice cake, sliced, fried with some vegetables and i think pork. My favorite! The rice cake is soft, but lightly chewy, full with flavor. The Shanghai noddles are amazing also.Haven’t yet branched out for anything else as we can’t wait to always order our favorite dishes. The normal pork steamed dumplings and pork with chives are amazingly good.Eftpos are accepted, but one time (out of 5 times in the last month) we went it was down.Decor is simple and clean, it may echo with people who are loud talkers or laughs.
Great Place, Great ServiceFood is authentic and very tasty. Much better than the overrated place down the road.Owner is a great guy, and very generous. Only thing I am not a fan of is the mediocre tea.
