I am a regular customer with my partner since the restaurant opened, and this incident happened on the 20/12/19, 8.50 p.m.I had a card that rewards you 20 dollars off after 10 stamps, and I just needed one more. Partner and I were dining which constitutes for 2 stamps – obviously awarding us 20 dollars off. So a waitress that worked at this time (Nepalese looking) argued saying, “you can only get it next time”. If she gave me a good argument why, then I would have happy to obliged. The theme of her response was “it’s just the way it is”. If I was dining alone then I can see why I can’t get the discount. But there was two of us dining, but she was only willing to award us 1 stamp? The manager/servers always stamped 2. So she asked the substitute manager that couldn’t speak English – so I’m unsure how she handed over the story well? That I do not know. The manager did not end up speaking to me, and so she remained combative. What happened to customer is always right at this stage? Sure this may be false most of the time, but after all that, she didn’t give me a proper answer and again she proceed to tell me “it’s just the way it is” and doesn’t give me a coherent conclusion. The other waitress actually agreed with me and she couldn’t make sense of it either. The waitress who argued with me just had a smug demeanour and didn’t get the concept how the business owners of this restaurant could lose regular customers and losing more money for this 20 dollar dilemma. She concluded that she would award us 2 stamps after all, BUT suddenly, she skipped the 20 dollar stamp and yet again! She did not award us with the 20$ off. She could not comprehend the concept of situation quite well. Shame, for the owners lost 2 regular customers as a result of an incompetent waitress where she did not even apologise for the situation, and thus just being blasé about it.The principle of the case is that the customer made a structured argument whereas the waitress kept saying “it’s just the way it is”, and it is not an acceptable answer for the business owner and for customers
New Sushi train place in Ashfield! I found the sushi pieces small and mostly standard stuff. Taste wise it’s nice and the service was accommodating but there is no toilet on site and nothing that makes this stand out from other sushi trains
Despite the lengthy sushi conveyor belt that weaves its way across this spacious restaurant, it still felt like we were repeatedly seeing the same choice of sushi plates go past. The plates we did have were tasty and included the usual sushi rolls, as well as some delicious rice paper rolls.
The food is good, sushi generally is good, service is nice, no toilets in the premises only thing, if u come with ur kids u can’t eat here. Better than some other sushi places in the city.
