This place is dreadful. A very sterile atmosphere void of any character. I went for breakfast and the options (posted up on a tiny chalkboard) was a smoothie or burrito, which then explained the random chipotle sauce sitting on the table for goodness knows how long. The burrito came on a tiny thin plate so naturally I spilt it everywhere else on the table. The most ridiculous thing I heard was a lady ask ‘can I just get scrambled eggs?…’ the response was ‘we don’t do that..’ despite scrambled eggs being on the burrito… this place will be gone within a year, they’re lucky to get 2 stars out of me.

Lovely new place in Avalon, you may forgive yourself for not realising its Mexican due to the lack of sombrero and other colourful ethnic accoutrements. Honestly, Mexican food is not my favourite but I have enjoyed the 3 meals weve had here, despite the messiness of some of the dishes. Honestly after a starter bottle at home and two margaritas I would have eaten anything. Its probably for the best the portions are small. Its not the cheapest place either, and the wine list is small and not good, and given they seem to think the top of the restaurant is the ideal place to store wine Id highly recommend the cocktails instead. Very pretty food so I guess theyll get some Insta love.Have twice now had brekky there and its better each time, although the offerings are limited and simple. Coffee is a little tangy/sour, not to my taste but perfectly executed. They are mates with the bean people so theres no chance theyll ever change it. Bummer. …… so we continue to return for brekky but skip the coffee and go elsewhere. Theres a fire inside in winter which is lovely, and the outside seating is pet friendly.
